Fraser Manor Rest Home

Absolutely awful, run down facilities, dirt cheap food, chronically understaffed, freezing in winter as the private ownership is too stingy to pay for the heat pumps to run at a reasonable temperature, staff ignoring residents hitting the emergency call buttons. Stay away!

My sister and I went to this rest home today to clean out our brother's partner's room - she died yesterday. My sister rang yesterday to set up an 'appointment' - this evidently is what is required prior to visiting. Upon arriving we were informed that we could not enter. We were told the room had been 'cleaned down' but despite asking what this meant were not given an answer. They didn't even ask about our vaccination status or passes. No clear reason was given. We had to leave empty handed and tell our brother he couldn't have his partners possessions. He was understandably upset.We have no idea when they will let us in. What an awful way to be treated. This is a very friendly place. I feel very at home visiting my mum here. The staff are really friendly to the family and treat mum as one of their own family. Feel we have mum at a place as good as can be outside her own home.

Staff are incredible, so fun and friendly. I'm looking forward to booking a room!

I dealt with Cami and she was an absolute delight , if she is a representation of the rest of the staff I would book in my parents without hesitation.
