5 months agoGreat collection of trees from around the world, disappointing to see some very poor recent pruning (flush cuts) on some of the older trees. Poor soil management around large trees with serious soil compaction. As an arborist and plant lover I was quite disheartened with the state of the gardens and older trees. I won’t be back. I thought the dye in the ponds looked very unnatural. Lots of unrealised potential. I imagine this was a lovely garden in it’s time but seems to have fallen somewhat into disrepair & suffering from poor management.

3 months agoIt was a nice enough place for a wander but as it's late Autumn it was a bit lacking in colour. Maybe I will do a return trip in another season.

a week agoWent to the gardens to have a look around as a potential wedding venue. It was clear that it is lacking in maintenance and general tidiness. We paid $10.00 to view the gardens and it was disgusting and a complete rip off. It had no likeness to the photos whatsoever in terms of upkeep, quite disappointing. Not sure if it is due to being winter time but still, no excuse as the public are paying money to visit and expect a beautiful garden, not that mess.

a year agoFirst time we've been here and we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely gardens with a lake and amphitheatre all for $5. Took us about an hour to wander around the various sections but we spent most of the time relaxing about the lake.

4 months agoLovely spot. We went here for the Easter egg hunt. Really worth it. The kids had a great time. The whole place is more or less wheelchair friendly. There are a few parts that are just grass and in winter could be tricky. Will come back again just to hang out in this awesome spot.
