3 months agoI am new to Christchurch and occasionally attend with my Mum. It feels like a great Church with lovely people. Also a good place to meet plenty of young folks who are yearning for God.

9 months agoI was asked to not talk or leave i was shocked..ask yourself David was this is right in the sight of the Father how you spoke to me .. when I was sharing my joy with my friends I brought along...would Jesus have told me to do that.. be silent not talk I was not afending anyone what so ever while many were speaking Even yourself. even the head pastor was talking and laughing loudly behind me i felt that was very hypocritical he made me not feel welcome...and I'm not the only one who experienced this feeling of not being made to feel welcomed on that occasion..to speak to me this way when it seemed it was alright for him to carry on talking.. oh Lord there was definitely something wrong with his attitude towards my joy and i felt my peace was being attacked.. I was not being rude or too loud .. I spoke joyful helping my Chinese friends to understand what was happening.. this made me feel very upset..

a year agoQueer people are not allowed to serve in this church although straight people with affirming theology can despite their conservative theology. The church policies and beliefs are not clearly expressed on their website, so please contact them prior to joining with any questions.

5 years agoIf you looking for a place where you can flaunt your talents! No, this is not the place for you. Text me, I can direct you to those churches. However, if you looking for a place where you can just honour the sabbath and praise God then yes! This is the place for you. If your a little bit snobbish ( in a British accent) then ,No, again, I have that one for you too. People of all walks of life enter these doors. Because we mature enough to know what the bible means by Love. Patience, Kindness and do life in a Real way. We pray, repent and yes, we still do that. You can experience the tangible presence of God. It's the most beautiful gift of God's grace towards us . Like I said ,because we do real life where people hurt, suffer, rejoice, overcome trials, etc. We do life and still have fun while we at it!

2 years agoRoad cones sat in public on-street car parking spaces directly outside during worship, clearly reserved by and for the congregation. Everyone has a right to park in public spaces, I thought an establishment such as this would be more aware and considerate of the others and the law.
