2 months agoAbsolutely beautiful place and better than I could ever imagine. The gardens have been crafted to perfection with no detail spared. Very unique and picturesque. Take a step back in time to admire gardens from past generations whilst feeling like you were there. The Waikato river can also be viewed from outside along with some park benches/seating for an afternoon picnic. Would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

2 months agoFirst time visiting the gardens and it’s truly amazing. Be prepared to snap up loads of photos and lots of walking required. The gardens is split into various categories and each has its own unique design and landscape. There’s so much to see and explore and our favourite has to be the bamboo forest. It’s so similar to the one in Japan and if you visit on a windy day, you can hear the creaking of the bamboo which is absolutely stunning. There is a cafe if you’re interested in a drink or meal but be mindful that the kitchen does close at a specific time so do plan your visits.

a month agoI visited here on my birthday. The entrance fee was $20 per adult, and the staff at the counter were very friendly and kind. Each garden has its own unique concept, which was really interesting to explore. As someone from Japan, the Japanese garden felt especially nostalgic to me. If you bring an acrobatic friend, you can take some amazing and fun photos, so I definitely recommend it😄

3 months agoAn absolutely stunning garden experience—easily one of the best I’ve visited. Each themed area is beautifully designed and thoughtfully explained. I took a book and spent time reading in various spots, enjoying the peace and variety. Two and a half hours flew by, and I could’ve stayed much longer. The map provided was very helpful for exploring. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature, design, or simply a serene place to unwind.
