I spent from December 2024 to March 2025 as a patient here. During my stay I come to know the system here. From the paramedics, ED team, B3 nurses, Orthopaedic Drs, physios, OT staff, Care assistants, cleaners, orderly, ATR rehab nurses, doctors and managers were amazingly supportive of me and the other patients from what I could see. They allowed me and my whanau to spend the time we needed, even if I had a lot of family come through. Christmas, NY and birthdays were spent in care and back in hospital. Rehabilitation was lengthy, this is where I spent the most time. The Chaplaincy team and Māori liaison support, social worker were a great resource to assist patients. Well done HAwkes Bay hospital, you should be proud of your care ❤️
