a year agoI rarely leave public reviews; however, it is well deserved in this circumstance. I have visited High View several times and had a great experience. The staff are personable and professional; they take time to explain critical details and make you feel welcome. Despite being an old building, the facility has undergone exceptional renovations and is well-presented. The owners were present during my visit. It is nice they have such a hands-on approach, a crucial aspect lost in the aged care industry.

a year agoMy wife worked here as a casual staff 9 years ago. They asked her to shower a resident who just had her hair done. She followed their instruction and she got an email the next day saying she couldn't work there anymore. We realized she just had her hair permed and shouldn't get her hair wet. She was not given specific instructions and was a victim of the 90 day trial exploitation. She is now working as a senior nurse leader however, the experience here is a lesson learned how NOT to treat your staff. You cannot expect someone to know everything on day 1 even if they are casual staff. You gave my wife trauma 9 years ago.

8 years agoSupport workers, ancillary staff, clients and families all very nice,. Expectations of Registered staff often unreachable due to demands of role. Facility would benefit from a structured education plan that includes all staff to meet competencies.
