2 months agoSuch a lovely little café! The staff were super friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. The food was really nice, and I especially appreciated how cosy and quiet the space felt. There’s gentle music playing in the background, and even when there were kids around or people chatting, it never felt loud or overwhelming. I was able to comfortably set up my laptop and get some studying done — it’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a calm and welcoming environment.

4 months agoAs of 2025 the best coffee I've had in Tauranga, and I don't say that lightly. Today (and I think the last two times I visited as well) I had to order another flat white to take away after brunch, it was just so good. Love the vibe and been super happy with my food all 3 times. Today I had the Turkish eggs 🤌 previously I've had Avo toast (yes I'm basic ✨) and it was also possibly the best I've had in Tauranga. Very reasonably priced imo!

6 months agoKawakawa is always crowded every time whenever I visited. I love Kawakawa's pancakes. The salad is unique and delicious, too. The staffs are so friendly and lovely. There's a reason why people like it.

11 months agoThe scrambled egg, avocado, bacon and toast was really nice in the Kawakawa breakfast. However the the potatoe rosti was very average and looked more like mashed potato. The cabinet food didn't look very fresh and we got two bacon and egg pies at $12 each which were very small and quite disappointing. The French toast was by far the best dish on our table. The atmosphere was nice, and it was good that we could sit half indoors and half outside with the sun. They played good music too.

a year agoNeat cafe in a very handy location! It is located only 5 minute walk from Bayfair shops. It’s very easy to find. There’s also a carpark for visitors - but limited space. I didn’t mind walking from Bayfair shops. There are seats indoor and outdoor. Inside gives a warm feel and it’s spacious. Because it’s quiet, you can have a chat without having to speak up. The staff were kind and service was prompt. I was surprised by the portions. It’s very generous and tastes good also. We ordered lemon miso mushroom and avocado on toast. I’d recommend adding an egg to these menus. Coffee was nice. Berry smoothie was decent also. I’ll definitely be back to try some other menus. Would recommend to anyone living in the region.
