3 years agoBest Hangi so far! I’ve had many hangi before but not as good as this one! I had to find the page on FB cause it’s that GOOD! Great size portion, the pork had its fat and still juicy, the stuffing 😩😩 out of this world!! I would definitely drive all the way up to Nelson for this, or if you’re ever in Chch I’d be first in line! Thank you for this amazing Kai, keep it up!

4 years agoI've been looking for a cafe/coffee shop where I feel comfortable and where I can write - Kiwi Kai exceeded my expectations as it's a homely little Cafe tucked between Miller's Acre and the AA. Food was amazing - would highly recommend the Salmon burger if you're a salmon fan such as myself. The service was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the small banter with the owner during my meal. 15/10, if you haven't been in, check it out. Coffee was nice as well ;)

2 years agoFantastic host, food, and experience. Had a special mussels and abalone patty on fry bread, and tried a few chutneys. Took a seafood pie to go - warm and flaky pastry. Definitely coming back to try more and enjoy the hospitality.

a year agoI could not believe it when the little Kiwi Kai shop closed in Nelson town. We come from Thames a few times a year and would head straight down there, we loved the seafood and the service, and so glad we can now find it again !!!! Yum expresses it for us...
