Leslie Groves Hospital

A really lovely residential care hospital with stunningly professional, kind and caring staff who had looked after my mother in the Taieri Unit. They cared for her and the other residents with their utmost respect and dignity. Every staff member were so lovely, I would not hesitate in using Leslie Groves again if the need arises.

Dad is a dementia patient here and the care he receives is first class. It's a very complex and difficult situation for family. Visiting hasn't been easy but the staff from the front desk onwards are so nice and help make visits much easier. I highly recommend to anyone needing care for a loved one.

I have visited there twice recently since a friend moved in to the Dementia community. I was impressed when I first went there. On my second visit after I was more familiar with layout etc I observed how clean it was and it seemed very spacious. Any staff that I interacted with were pleasant and caring. My friend said he loved being there and it was much better than his previous place. He had a twinkle in his eyes that I hadn't seen all year.

I'm sure the facility is fine, but I was just coming through the grounds from Frazer's Gully. Have done since I was a child. The gardens are quite large and there are some nice trees there. But the maintenance is pretty rough in places.

Situated within a park like setting the Leslie Groves Hospital provides 31 beds for those assessed as requiring hospital level residential care. Residents have large, modern private rooms, with their own en suites, ideal for personalizing with moments and treasures. There are both Standard and Premium rooms as well as four palliative care rooms with a lounge area available for family use. In-house activities are provided daily with both individual and group activities planned to meet the needs of all residents. Our activities staff also offer regular events, trips, outings and visits from local entertainers.
