a week agoI’ve been coming to this church for the past several years. Ive gone to different times to see if perhaps it was just the time I chose to go. I’ve tried multiple times to sign up with life groups …. Some have answered me and only meet when school starts and some haven’t responded at all. I feel like the ones that are local feel more like a hobby group then actually gathering to talk about God and maybe that could be about the description that they put on their life groups but I digress I have gone repeatedly saying I will give this church another chance because I enjoy past Craig‘s message, but I don’t feel welcome there. When I first started going, I feel like the greeters were much more welcoming. I go by myself and not being greeted warmly kind of sucks. I keep saying maybe this weekend will be different but I’m still met with the same distance that I am not craving in a church. Maybe the locations in other states are different or better but I haven’t felt welcomed at all. It’s not a church for someone who is by themselves looking to find community which is unfortunate because pastor Craig talks about getting in community all the time. Another thing I think is kind of clashing with being “not conformed to this world” is the opening secular music songs were not supposed to be like this world and I’m sure you could play the top trending Christian’s songs if you want to be trendy

6 months agoWe were on vacation and wanted to go to church on the Sunday we were in Florida. Everyone seemed very welcoming. The music was absolutely fabulous. It was like listening to the radio in real life with concert vibes. I teared up a couple times as well. The sermon was also very good. It was relatable and simplistic. It was a “church at the movies” situation where we watched the main pastor speak on camera. I am only traveling so this may have been just a this week kind of thing. It was about an hour and some change total which helped you keep your focus centered. I thank God and Life church for giving me the opportunity to feel the spirit this Sunday.

4 months agoI visited Life.Church several years ago and again a year and a half ago. Since visiting last year I haven’t stopped attending. In addition I’ve also become involved with the LifeKids community (the children’s group). Since visiting this church and becoming involved my life has changed. The pastors, staff, and congregation are very supportive and welcoming. The music service, though a bit loud, is inspirational and draws you closer to the Lord. People welcome you the moment you walk up to the door, when you grab some coffee (or tea), and head into the main service area. If you’re expecting The Crystal Cathedral, keep looking. The church’s founder and main Pastor, Craig G., purposely simplified the plans for the church because the PEOPLE are the church, not the building. I recommend this church immensely!

5 months agoVery surface level teaching, and "world friendly" approach. If you're completely new to Christianity, I would say going to this church wouldn't hurt! Sometimes the "sermon" really does become more of a Ted Talk than actual dedicated scripture learning. So if you're a seasoned Christian looking to grow deeper into your faith and understanding of Christ this is NOT the church id recommend. I attended for years, and honestly the people here are very kind and do seem to love Christ. It just suffers from being your typical mega church "non-denominational" experience. Smoke machines, screens, and emotion driven services, amongst many other things. God bless 🙏🏿

2 weeks agoHow many protestant denominations do we need? All are based on the personal interpretations of the founders. All with contradicting doctrines. Are the Lutherans right? Anglicans? Episcopalians? Presbyterians, Methodists? Baptists? Pentecostals? Calvinists? Non-Calvinists? Don't let these "non denominational" churches fool you with the label. Most if not all "non-denom" churches have Baptist or Pentecostal theology. Sometimes they mix both. The "non-denom" idea was invented in the 1800s during the "Restoration Movement" by four men to remove ties with official groups. It doesn't mean that their theology was not influenced by those groups.
