a week ago17/08/25 12.17pm Asked the head checkout woman if the Pork roast i scanned was on special, because the self check out machine didn't show this! She said it doesn't show it... but it is what it is! Very blunt and rude manner then walked away while i was still querying this. Left feeling disappointed and angry at her actions.! And I thought New World supermarkets were better than this! Will be a last choice grocery store for me now!!

2 months agoThis place is my favourite supermarket despite there is another small supermarket near my home. I like the self-checkouts which mostly are available every time I go there (quick and easy IN and OUT of the store), and yesterday I was in desperate need of a $10 cash to pay someone so I tried their CASH&CARD self-checkout machine for the very first time! I was very happy to receive my change that I needed. They have at least three CASH&CARD machines which will be handy for someone needing $5 or $10 change since the ATMs only do $20 notes these days.

a month agoA surprise package, i used to think brookfield was the best but gate pa does it really well. Deli is good, meat looks great, being a smaller store it has less variety but great service helps

a year agoBeautiful revamp of the store happening. Looks really inviting and a great layout. Checkout staff are really friendly and helpful. It's certainly not just New World, but the price of pumpkins is just absolutely horrendously ridiculous and unjustifiable. Sadly, there'll be no roast pumpkin this Christmas . . . New World Gate Pa though, a real asset to Tauranga. Love the shop, love the staff.

3 months agoThe deli!!!! Dried up salads. Some of what looks like old stock. 2nd time I've bought seafood salad for on the run and 2nd time it's been still mostly frozen. Staff? No smiles. Have to wave them down mostly as they appear to hide. Please do better! My poor local going down the tubes.
