3 months agoWe popped into New World a few times during our short stay in Welly. This one is very central and is well stocked. Includes general groceries, beer and wine, and hot foods. Recommended.

2 months agoSad experience with a condescending checkout staff member who felt the need to put me down because I wasn't familiar with the store or app. Just rude! Though the store has a great variety to choose from staff make it or break it as far as customer service.

2 months agoHello I was just in metro new world and there was this guy that was following us and when I and my boyfriend paid for our stuff and he walked out and dropped his basket and walked out very fast I informed one of the supervisors about the man and I know how it feels to be stolen from since I work in the same damn industry, there security accused of the thief to be our friends and straight up said to me and my boyfriend “is that your friend” in a tone mind you this security guard has been out to get with me and my boyfriend for a damn long time . Example: on my birthday I went out brought bunch of snacks from the Courtney new world and came in to the metro new world to buy a cake since they make the one I specifically like and when we paid he stoped us with the same rude tone and stared us down and went through our bag which is valid but now this is unacceptable because me and my boyfriend were scared of what the thief is crazy to accuse us of being friends with him, I will not be shopping at that new world anymore and I advice others who felt this way or been through similar situations to stop going there cause this is just so cruel! I SAID WHAT I SAID!

10 months agoLooked at the item on the shelf - price prominently displayed as $12.99 (see photo). Took it to the checkout, scanned it, price came up as $16.89. Queried it with the assistant. Was told “That’s the Clubcard price” ( I choose not to have clubcard). Went back to check on the shelf and found that was correct. But to see the tiny writing on the bottom of the label I had to bend down as it was on a low shelf. Something I hadn’t thought to do the first time. I only noticed the difference because I wanted only this one item. If I’d been buying a whole basket of goods then the difference would have gone unnoticed. Difficult to believe this is anything other than New World’s deliberate attempt to deceive its customers. If they were a reputable business they’d show both prices with equal prominence. I went and bought it from another shop nearby for the other shop’s normal price of $13.99. So not only are New World trying to deceive me, they’re also deceiving their clubcard holders about the amount of savings
