I have been into this immaculate well stocked supermarket a handful of times. It is centrally located on the street where Mt Albert Grammar is & the local pool, gym & Rocket park is. It is also around the corner from Westfield St Lukes. On this occasion I had been to the pool & didn't want to travel out of the vicinity of this area where my errands were. I also did not want to break the bank & have a small budget when it comes to lunch or having to eat while out, New World did not disappoint. The selection and prices are spot on, I ended up going with the deli selection of sandwiches & baps, the bap I decided on was packed to the brim & over flowing with goodness; layers of roast beef with lettuce, relish & other sumptuous things. I was impatient & in a hurry so asked if someone could serve me. The attendant was courteous & helpful & his colleague was waylaid by all the restocking as it is well sort after from everyone in the area because it offers a great selection of products. There was an attendant who was less than friendly when I asked for instructions on how the self service kiosk worked, she looked at me as if I should know and quickly did it for me with a tone that wasn't v friendly. On every other occasion that I have come through the service is spot on, rather like the supermarket & the gems it offers. The separate baker cabinet boasts a great selection of scrummy treats, I bypassed it on my way out as the seniors from nearby schools mulled about longingly sampling from the display cabinet. I am quite a fusspot when it comes to service, so cut to the chase with the rude self checkout attendant. With my fabulous $5.99 in hand I toddled off towards St Lukes driving, eating as well as handfree talking on my phone; making a mental note to tell you all what a great supermarket the new place is. Hoping it was not the business that hindered the attendants manners because other than her attitude my shopping & eating experience was too notch. Come one come all, open till 9pm which is an hour longer than our Local Woolworths at Point Chevalier. Pst. The last time I was a friendly security doorman beaming when I entered. Service with a smile, a great start to the day 10/10.

I love NW. Whenever I’m traveling around Auckland I always make it a point to check out the nearest NW to see the store and products. This is the first NW where I’ve been disappointed. Your custard chocolate doughnut had no custard inside and the almond croissant has a strange taste to it. Definitely not in the same class as the bakery at NW Victoria Park. Lastly your security followed me across the aisles. He thought I didn’t notice but I did. I didn’t make a fuss as I have nothing to hide but never have I ever been profiled at any of your NW stores. I was well dressed, looked tidy… gave no reason apart from being a “brown islander” to be watched like that. Won’t be supporting this store again.

I had a terrible experience at the New World Fresh Collective. One of the male staff literally stopped me by pulling my arm aggressively just before I could enter citing reasons of not wearing a mask. When I complained to the manager, he was very rude supporting the male staff behaviour. They have zero etiquette in handling customers, and female customers in general. They are not allowed to manhandle female customers or anybody for that matter! How come they are allowed to aggressively pull the customer to stop from entering but not be held accountable for their own bullying ways. This has been reported to the new world main head office too.

I've got suburb envy, wish this was my local. Great atmosphere in store. Coffee Supreme up front, huge gourmet pizzas ready to takeaway in 3 minutes, decent beer and wine selection - plus the very best of household staples.

Great location with an 'express' vibe to get everything you need from this smaller format supermarket but without missing the mark on all the essential elements and product.
