New World Supermarket Mount Roskill

In case you didn’t know New world does catering! I used them for my birthday and they were great! Thank you Dan for the great service- lots of compliments from my guests - favs were the Indian platter, sandwiches and the cocktail sticks- I recommend using them for your next function

I chased the NW staff for a month trying to confirm an order for two sushi platters + delivery which their website says is free if the order is over $100. A staff member called and questioned me where I got the free delivery information from. I took him through the website and where to find it. How unbelievable that their own staff does not know the product/services they provide! I reached out every week either via email, call and even going to the store to pay - no communication from them until 2 days before my event. I missed the call but the staff said it's urgent and it's to get my card details to pay for the order. By then, when the staff spoke to me, she could not guarantee whether the order would be delivered. I was so worried that the platter would not be delivered. Luckily, it was delivered but wow, terrible customer service and terrible communication. Please do better.

I did 2 online orders from this shop and both times i had issues. I complained once by doing survey online and was told some one would contact me which never happened. Second time i complained about a different order i rung up the new world contact centre and they contacted the owner of the store and manager and advised them off my situation/problem and i was told one off the would call me back. I never heard a thing back. Obviously the store lacks good customers service and common sense. The owners/managers dont want to know and just ignore the problem hoping it goes away. I have had to change to another super market in the area where the service is much better. New World pull your head in and look your customers

A well designed supermarket, with a modern look and dedicated bulk spices section. Staff members are friendly, attentive, accommodating, and helpful; especially the lady at the seafood counter. Parking usually is available despite that it's a shared shopping area. Prices are a bit expensive compared to other supermarkets. Stocks are improving although now have less of unique items than it used to.

They have a good range of products, but I spent $200 on groceries including veggies and took 4 paper bags for convenience. A staff member stopped me, saying I couldn't take them. I would’ve happily paid extra.
