9 months agoThe teachings are bible based and encouraging. The environment is relaxed yet welcoming. The leaders are serious about helping people have a real relationship with Jesus through prayer, worship and supporting one another. You’ll enjoy the music as we worship and sing praises to the Lord. There is a mixture of age groups and young Families as well as all ethnicities. My heart is happy every time I attend a Sunday service.

11 months agoCome to realise I was not respected to this church from a Korean lady who also attends the church. She was rude to me because I believe in more than 1 god. Yes how judgmental and she’s not even the owner of the church . She is very controlling. In Christianity you never judge!!! I believe I deserve an apology right away.

a year agoWe had such a lovely morning at playgroup followed by their connect cafe. Delicious barista coffee from the cafe and plenty of toys for the baby in a secure, warm spot!

4 years agoI have been going to OCC for 8 years so I'm likely biased. I love the Trinitarian and grace based theology here. It's very hard to find charismatic/Pentecostal church that also has legit theology but I feel that OCC has it fairly well nailed Very multi cultural congregation. We love to feast after services. Often catered food and sometimes as pot luck. Lovely cafe, free coffee and a great place to socialise before and after the services. We firmly believe that church happens outside the four walls - the conversation often continues in a nearby restaurant or at people's homes over lunch. Music is energetic and loudish (especially when I am on sound). Great for young adults and families seem to enjoy it. OCC has a large portion of young adults - fun loving singles and couples from 20's to 30's. New people giving the church a go are warmly welcomed and noticed (rather than avoided). Recently started doing two services post COVID19 lockdown and live streaming the first service. Find Our City Church on Facebook to see the stream. Viewers from around the world tune in. Currently 60 or so people per service. There's had been boom of babies recently and good facilities for mother's feeding and parents. Great kids church. Youth group on Fridays. I am very proud of how involved this small church is in the West Auckland community. There are so many programs and partnerships operating out of the church. Many people's lives have been positively impacted from such involvement. The building is used for far more than just Church on Sunday. Why not give it a go - even if that means just tuning in to the live stream to see what is like first. Of course it's better in person.
