PAK’nSAVE Clarence Street

We visited Pak'nSave on Clarence Street in Hamilton during our trip to Taupo (14/12/24) and it was a great experience. The store was well-organized, and the aisles were easy to navigate. Despite being busy, the staff were efficient and friendly. The variety of products available was impressive, and everything was fresh and reasonably priced. It's definitely a convenient stop for groceries when in the area.

Outside of the amazing service, the car spotting that can be done in this area is outstanding. It is a perfect place to go if you are in the area looking for expensive cars. Along with that are the frequent deals they have each Thursday and many popular items going on sale frequently. Meaning you’re bound go eventually get a price decrease on your items eventually.

This pak n save is all good. Parking can be an issue during peak times (after work 4pmish) and Thursday's with their specials. Customer service is on point with friendly and polite check out operators:) Keep up the good work team 👍🏽

This supermarket is a great place to shop for all essentials. It has a well-stocked grocery section with a variety of fresh produce, making it easy to find quality fruits and vegetables. The meat section is also impressive, offering a good selection of fresh cuts. One of the biggest advantages of this store is its convenience, as it carries almost everything needed for daily grocery shopping. However, it does tend to get quite crowded on weekends, which can lead to longer wait times at the checkout. It would be great if they could add more staff at the cash counters during peak hours to improve the shopping experience. Overall, it's a reliable place with a good selection of products, and I would recommend it for regular grocery shopping.

I’ve been a regular customer at Pac N Save, shopping multiple times a day. Despite my loyalty, I have been repeatedly accused of theft simply for carrying my personal belongings. Staff confiscated my bag (which contained my window cleaning tools) and refused to return it unless I provided a receipt—without any evidence of wrongdoing. Even after legally purchasing my items, they took my groceries away, called security, and refused to refund the $6 charged to my card. When the police arrived, they confirmed I had not stolen anything, yet I was still trespassed from the store. No paying customer should be humiliated like this. If Pac N Save has a bag policy, it should be enforced fairly, not selectively against regular shoppers. If you care about being treated with respect, I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
