PAK’nSAVE Gisborne City

'PAC NO SAVE' is a fitting new name. A fuel voucher is all you get; there are no real saving incentives here. I haven't been to the new Woolworths yet."

Less and less brand choice, no eco friendly or organic products at all which are better for the environment if you can afford them. Also dirty store, so much rubbish on ground outside it looked like the transfer station. Gisborne more and more run down and Pak n Save is just adding to this despite huge proffit margins….shameful!

I'm appalled by the discrimination my husband faced today at Gisborne Pak& Save! He's a dark Maori. I had walked with my baby, pram & bags to wait on the wall, whilst my husband did self-checkout. I was smiled at, no qsts asked, and for reference I'm a fair Maori. The lady "Krystal" on duty (on the board), and another fair Maori girl, stood next to her at the front. The fair Maori girl targeted my husband, she walked and stood close by watching his every move as though he had stolen groceries, even though he was scanning every item. I saw her looking at him up and down. She then walks to Krystal whispers to her, and Krystal goes straight to target my husband to check his backpack. My husband showed his bag and still continued to be discriminated, by asking if he had a receipt for his open drink and wanting to check every part of his bag. My husband furious, as he had showed his bag willingly and further qstioned. Krystal straightaway replies angrily, "get security!"I said in a loud voice to my husband "honey don't worry, they have targeted you as your black, I saw them watching you, lets go!". Security rushed over, to push us out "I'm calling the police, just leave!" As I tried to explain to the security lady that my husband was discriminated against as I had witnessed she excused "no it's a bag policy!". However I wasn't qstd and neither were others for our bags! Racism at its finest! Coming from Australia, and seeing even here how you may look/dress, def. similar feeling of how our people are targeted- like aboriginals is really a pathetic /disgrace! Won't return here that's for sure!!! DO BETTER & to the Maori girl who thought you knew from looking at my husband, shame on your behavior!!!

I bought alcohol with my groceries, so the supervisor came over. I couldn't believe how rude she was to the checkout girl in front of me. I don't know what people get out of being bloody rude and nasty like this.

Pak n Sav Gisborne store inside, doesn't have the best Lay out! Especially at the checkouts. Most times it's busy and under staffed, So there are long lines and waiting times.
