a month agoA first to-go place when I need to shopping on a big batch. Usually spends 60 to 90 minutes here depend on how many items we need to buy.

a month agoI’ve been shopping at PAK’nSAVE Kilbirnie for over 10 years, but the quality of their fresh produce in recent months has become really disappointing. Fruit often goes bad within a couple of days, and vegetables are frequently wilted, bruised, or just poor quality straight off the shelf. The shelves for budget items are also often empty, making it harder and harder to do a full shop without having to compromise. Yes, PAK’nSAVE is still cheaper than some of the other big supermarkets. But it’s by no means cheap, especially when the quality doesn’t hold up. Like many Kiwis, I don’t have a lot of choice due to the supermarket duopoly, which makes this even more frustrating. It’s not easy to go elsewhere, but the value and quality at this store just aren’t what they used to be. I really hope they lift their game soon.

5 months agoOnline shopping is such a gamble. The amount of times my plans have been screwed over by very common items not being available is pretty close to the amount of times I've used the service. No shade to the staff, they seem friendly enough, but man it's kind of a terrible experience. Today they apparently didn't have a raw chicken? Like I get it if you don't have the specific one I ordered, but does a full size pak n save seriously have no raw chickens? I never have trouble with this kind of item in store.

a year agoPak N Save are the best stores in Wellington, in my opinion. The selection, prices, and quality of meats and produce are heads above the rest, and they have better croissants than Countdown and New World. 😋
