Despite this, the staff at Pak'nSave New Plymouth are friendly and helpful when approached, and the prices are some of the best in the area. Overall, the store provides great value and convenience. With a little attention to improving staffing levels during busy periods, it could easily become a five-star experience. I’d highly recommend Pak'nSave for your regular grocery shopping needs, but be prepared for longer waits on weekends.

A little sad this morning to see imported oranges for sale. We are in the middle of NZ citrus season. Why??? Also many of the bagged lettuces for sale were rotten. When I told the staff about them she said there were probably better ones at the bottom of the bin. I said that the really shouldn’t be selling the rotten ones but she was not concerned. This is the second week the lettuces have been like this.

One can tell that paknsave employees are enjoying their jobs, they are helpful, friendly, and always willing to help one find what we can't. I live across the from the loading bay where trucks come in from about 2ish in the morning, the professional and attention to detail is amazing to watch! Kudos to your staff, they are keepers for sure 😊

Traveling with my Kiwi wife. She went to buy wine, but because I was with her, the store manager wouldn’t let her purchase. I’m 37yo and bald with a stressed out face. Even the local customers behind us were in disbelief. My wife kept saying she was going to pay. The manager didn’t budge…its probably not her fault, most likely from corporate bs. So if you’re with someone else and you don’t have ID you can’t buy alcohol? What about a Dad with his kids? I even took off my hat to show her my bald head and she kept saying I needed my passport. Very embarrassing for me and not stoked that I couldn’t try some NZ wine. Had to make a 2nd stop and my wife “snuck” into another business while I waited in the car.
