a month agoAbsolutely love polar!! Have tried most things on the menu now and can 100% recommend their hot Belgian waffles (definitely add the cookie dough) and the cold plate ice cream!! Their staff are always so lovely & added points for the shop being in my favourite green 😍 Always good for a late night treat 🍦

a month agoImpressed by their Belgian waffles! The waffles are on the fluffy texture and a really big portion ! I top it with dark chocolate ice-cream, compote and blueberries. It was a perfect dessert on a winter afternoon.

4 months agoYum yum yum! We are visiting Tauranga from out of town and this is a must visit! Absolutely delicious, decadent and the service was fantastic. It was just a random Tuesday night when we went, but the store was absolutely pumping and after trying it and seeing what they created, you can see why. Highly recommend. 10/10. Polar Dessert Bars should be global, so good!

a month agoI understand that you are training staff but it is incredibly unreasonable to expect us to pay $15.50 for a poorly made cold plate ice cream. The staff was being trained in front of me while making my ice cream. She did not mix it up correctly and did not roll it correctly either, it was a mess and just looked like a pile of normal ice cream. I have been here 3 times and never has it been served so badly. I had no idea how the person training her thought that was acceptable to serve to me. I have been here before so I was really looking forward to it, but the quality of the cold plate ice cream was so disappointing compared to other times for the same price. Edit to reply: Yes I had to ask for a replacement, I was put off by the fact I had to ask for a replacement instead of being offered one for being served this. I appreciated the replacement but it was not offered to me until I asked.
