At 16 Cobham Court in Porirua City Centre, the Porirua City Council acts as the central local government office for the area. While feedback varies, this council remains a cornerstone for residents seeking assistance, governance, and community planning. Its presence underlines Porirua’s commitment to accessible municipal services and local development.

a year agoSee Porirua City Council what you have taken away from your loyal ratepayers and citizens the right to enjoy time on this lovely beach at Titahi Bay. A scene never to be repeated thanks to the bureaucracy of the Council in wanting to deny people the use of the beach and their cars. There has never been a fatality as far as I know having bee a resident of the Bay for 73 years. How about the council reconsidering their decision again so the beach can be used to it’s full potential as shown in the attached image.

12 months agoI am still waiting on my refund for a Hall - Refund request 27/07/2024 which I have been confirmed by customer services will be refunded. It took 10 months for me to receive a refund (requested November 2023 & received August 2024) for my child's Dash Swim school which probably would not have been refunded if I had not hired a council-owned hall. Quick to take money but super slow giving it back!!

5 months agoStop wasting your time standing outside primary schools looking intimidating for "safety reasons" to fine parents tickets, where you're not welcome, get a real job or put that money towards doing some actual work that the community have been asking for.

11 months agoAbsolutely awful and very clever at charging money for themselves. There is no signage about parking on the grass but fined the people for parking on the grass. It is better and respectful to beg on the streets if you do not have money

2 years agoWhen ever we have to contact the council staff in office or phone they are very receptive. Enquiries are responded to within a few business days. I have lived in other areas and can say with honesty that the council staff at PCC are among the most responsive, easiest to speak with, and appreciate you and all the work you do. There's a lot of negativity about councils in general, but having dealt with three other councils in the past few years you are bar none the best! thank you!
