2 years agoWonderful garden, super friendly and talented gardener. The work they've done with this place is simply amazing. Even welcomed us in when we came bumbling up the driveway without an appointment like two dumb tourists.

2 years agoWanted to visit the garden so drove out from New Plymouth to find the sign at the front had by appointment on it. So we rang the number given and there was no answer. Drove up the driveway but there was nothing noticeably available to sign in or pay etc even though according to website and Google maps that they were open.,,,so drove out again. So not an activity to do on the spur of the moment.... ring and make an appointment I guess.

2 years agoA treasure in the korowai of Taranaki ki te tonga. This garden unfolds from layer to layer like a treasured feather cloak and has an inimitable presence and presentation reflective of Aotearoa New Zealand with plants and trees and shrubs native and introduced. A lifetime of aroha and displayed with mannakitanga from kaitiaki Jenny & Ken. Garden of National Significance status is immediately recognised but progressively endorsed as you stroll the historic Maori marae whenua lovingly respected by these creative people.
