The Queenstown Lakes District Council office located at 10 Gorge Road is a fundamental part of local governance in Queenstown. As a point of contact for residents and businesses, this establishment is involved in the ongoing management of district affairs and community services. While public feedback is limited, the council remains a key institution shaping the dynamic growth and administration of one of New Zealand’s most renowned resort towns, ensuring that Queenstown continues to thrive as both a tourist destination and a vibrant local community.

a year agoThey heavily target tourists and issue tickets for seemingly minor parking infractions, charging a steep $40 fee. It's especially frustrating because they understand that vacationers are often pressed for time and may not have the opportunity to appeal these fines.

5 months agoIt's unbelievable that the council would not spent the 17 million dollars to fix the the sewage problem. You've got the money to do it.. is it because you to keep the 17 million dollar💰 for yourself. If you don't spend the money .. then the people of Queenstown will make a police complaint for FRAUD. I think the Queenstown city council needs to be AUDITED Don't be fraudsters spend the money to fix the sewage problem

a year agoThanks for ruining us a trip to Queenstown. Got a $40 fine for parking in a space with a caravan which for your own ambiguous definition is “not large enough”? It is a Toyota hiace grand cabin. Google it, it is not small. What a way to collect some extra revenue for already quite a lush council. Congratulations on annoying the tourists as I see I am not the only one.

10 months agoThey only catch rental car for visitors. Even though there are many cars having same parking situation, they only give visitors fine. I've charged 100$ and 25$ twice. I have spent more money to fine than my hotel.

a year agoThey just want to get extra money. The parking area are messy in town center. And their ticket issuer are very busy each day, work from early morning to middle night . Hardest worker in NZ I would say .
