Red Cross Shop Dunedin is a beloved store in the heart of Central Dunedin, known for its friendly staff and well-organized layout. Shoppers appreciate the two distinct spaces—one dedicated to books, music, and media, and the other filled with quality second-hand items at great prices. Visitors often highlight the easy-to-navigate setup and the helpful staff who ensure a pleasant experience. This shop offers a treasure trove of affordable goods, from literary gems to everyday essentials, all within a welcoming op shop atmosphere.

a year agoThis shop is terrific! It's split into two different spaces, one dedicated to books, music, etc. and the other space is general op shop stuff. I adore the book level, it's essentially a quality second hand bookshop with op shop prices. If you find yourself at one of these spaces, ask the way to the other as it's not obvious. I don't live in Ōtepoti, however, go there semi-regularly. I drove past the lower level a few times, eventually made time to stop in. I'd gone in few times before a staff member asked me if I knew about the upper level.

3 years agoIf I could give a 0 star I would, me and my partner went to here today, the staff were really rude and a lot of items are over priced , when asked if they would drop the price due to a stain on a dress, they said it was a pretty good price and the stain should come out but not there fault if it doesn’t, after saying did you put that stain there when we don’t even wear makeup, also said they would drop the price if it was a top, we wouldn’t have minded if they were nice about it but they were just rude and Arrogant. We will not being going to this shop again, your better to go to hospice where they are well priced and have super friendly staff

4 years agoGood op shop, still pretty good deals to be had. The layout is good, nice & easy to find things, you don't have to struggle thru crammed racks. Changing rooms are good, with flattering mirrors.. always a bonus.

4 years agoI usually go here to have a browse around, however the staff are always hostile and rude. When ensuring about prices, staff are reluctant to talk to you, and often price things incorrectly when you get to the checkout. Was told something was $5 more expensive than it was despite price tag saying different. Staff are unfriendly and the place has turned into a rip off since the “Hospice” left …. Will never go here again.
