2 years agoHi all…just saying… my grandfather worked in the Blackwater mine at Waiuta till about 1916. At that point my grandmother died in childbirth at the Waiuta hospital leaving granddad with 7 children, the youngest of whom was my mother 19 months old. I think they went to Slatey Creek (?) then Moonlight (Atarau).
