    Hi all…just saying… my grandfather worked in the Blackwater mine at Waiuta till about 1916. At that point my grandmother died in childbirth at the Waiuta hospital leaving granddad with 7 children, the youngest of whom was my mother 19 months old. I think they went to Slatey Creek (?) then Moonlight (Atarau).
