3 months agoWe lost a Standard Portuguese Laurel. It was one of six and needed a relatively mature replacement so it wouldn't look too out of place. After much looking around we ended up at Southern Woods Nursery. Southern Woods had the best selection and best option available. The team at Southern Woods were very friendly and helpful. We are very happy with the replacement Laurel and it looks great. There was ample parking, and the main shop building was impressive with a great selection of tools available too. On a subsequent dealing with Southern Woods their customer service was amazing. I definitely recommend Southern Woods and look forward to the next visit.

3 months agoWe had a fantastic experience sourcing plants from Southern Woods for our community based Preschool. The manager Alex was very helpful when choosing a selection of beautiful native plants that is suitable for our coastal location and that add interest to our space with different varieties, textures and heights. The nursery itself was impressive with a large variety of healthy plants and a passionate and knowledgeable team. We will definitely be choosing Southern Woods for any future planting!

5 months agoabsolutely beautiful nursery to visit and/or purchase. Healthy plants, lovely helpful staff, willing to give advice to benefit choice and care of plants. Very reasonable prices and great selection for all soil types and size of your garden. Will happily purchase and visit again.

2 months agoGreat nursery. Helpful staff. Good range especially NZ natives. Reasonable prices. Excellent Japanese secateurs should you be sick of cheap ones that blunten quickly or get stuck shut as you use them. Bought one and wife then got her own smaller one. 3 sizes for all hands.
