2 months agoFrom our initial enquiry to bringing our beautiful Major home, the process was fantastic. The staff were wonderful - there was no rush to proceed, we received great advice, and they ensured we had everything we needed to make Major's early days as comfortable as they could be in his new home. We couldn't be more appreciative of the SPCA.

3 weeks agoAbsolutely in shock of the poor customer service and manors in this facility. Popped in for a visit today to see if any kittens were available for my husband and I. I was greeted by a lady who looked at me as if I weren’t supposed to be bothering her. There was also about 10 staff behind her just staring. I felt so uncomfortable. I said I’d called and made an appointment. She just blankly stared at me. So I asked where we could view the kittens and she pointed to the buildings. She gave me no further information other than to write down the name of the animal I may be interested in. I had no idea if I could hold the cats or not. When I can back inside I expressed my interest for one of the beautiful kittens available but wanted to find out how we go about viewing in two days when my husband is off work. She condescendingly told me “it’s a conversation to be had”. We’ve had the conversation…that’s why I was visiting. Other cats online have been set aside for viewings in a few days that we couldn’t see today. As I called prior to visiting to find out if they were still available. Unsure why I couldn’t do the same. I’m still so confused. She had no info to share with me and it seemed like she had no clue where she even was. She made me feel belittled and like I was inside a prison and she was my superior. Very disappointed. So much so I actually don’t want to go back in now. I’d prefer to find somewhere else friendlier and welcoming to adopt from! I’d recommend higher management pays a visit to sort out these problems as I see many other people have shared the same awful experience!

5 months agoVery friendly and well informed staff. You can tell that really care for the wellbeing of the animals. I am very happy with my new puppy and though he will be a bit bigger then I expected, as you never can tell with a mixed breed, he has fitted in well and we love him.

5 months agoThe SPCA is great, the staff are all lovely, and take great care of all the animals. I was lucky to be able to adopt a lovely boy cat, and they helped me look for a cat that suited my lifestyle and my needs, and I couldn't have asked for a better cat. The adoption process was super easy, and I would definitely go there again to get another pet. The work the SPCA does is extremely honourable, and I am grateful to have helped them by adopting a cat so they can give another rescue animal a safe space until it gets adopting into a loving home.
