2 weeks agoI stopped in to look for a winter jacket and found one that was just what I needed. I took it up to the counter to pay for it and the lady serving made an astonished face when she checked the price. She said jackets like the one I picked were worth x amount in US dollars and asked if I wanted to make a donation. I was a bit dumbstruck because it felt like the I couldn’t just pay the price on the tag. It was awkward and I gave her extra and said to keep the change. It’s presumptuous to assume people don’t already donate, and inconsiderate to assume people op shopping have extra income to spare.

2 weeks agoAwful service. From other reviews I assume same lady. Short hair/glasses. Incredibly snotty and rude. DO NOT shop here.

a year agoMy mother and sister had a bad experience with this lady, then I learnt for myself. Firstly, my sister and mum were shopping and were almost finished, their hands were full so they put their clothes next to the counter. Then the lady put them all away… 🤦🏼♀️ She lost a decent sale there as my mum couldn’t be bothered going round trying to find them again. Mum mentioned a suitcase for sale outside, but didn’t want to deal with that lady. I came back instead, checked out the case, then went to pay for it. The door was locked, I was a bit confused cos the store was supposed to be open. I then saw the “back at 1.45” sign, didn’t have time to wait so was about to walk away when suddenly the grumpy lady appeared opening the door to say “I LEGALLY HAVE TO TAKE A 15 MINUTE LUNCH BREAK” .. I immediately explained I was sorry and was just wanting to buy the suitcase. I didn’t have cash so she slammed the door in our face. Our first time in the area and she really put a damper on our day! Not suprised to see other negative reviews. You’d think they’d get rid of her by now?? Bizarre woman.

a year agoHad I known the lady wearing glasses that took my stuff was so sarcastic and rude, I would had taken my donation to any other op shop. I truly hope the money you make from your sells really goes to help the animals. I'll never step on this place again.

2 years agoTerrible customer service. The lady that works there made us feel awful. We were willing to support the SPCA and won’t be retuning because of her poor customer service and the way she treated us , when we raised this she got snappy at us and said she can’t please everyone. Seems to be a theme from previous reviews we were here the morning of the 28.02.23. Hospice had lovely customer service.
