St. Andrews Presbyterian Church offers a peaceful and inviting sanctuary in Whanganui that combines traditional charm with a strong sense of community. Visitors enjoy the pleasant acoustics and the quiet, contemplative atmosphere of the sanctuary. The church is especially popular among families, hosting the well-loved Twinkle Toes music group every Wednesday morning, where children engage in music and play while parents connect over refreshments. This gathering exemplifies the church’s commitment to fostering friendships and faith in a supportive environment, making it a beloved spiritual and social hub.

5 years agoWe visit here very Wednesday morning at 10am for the Twinkle Toes music group. Great bunch of mum's and kids, goes for approx an hour. $2 entry but they supply the kids with a drink and snack each, and us parents get a cuppa and cake while the kids play with the toys following the main music bit. My toddler loves it, helps her burn off some energy and both of us have made some great friends here.

a year agoHad opportunity to visit the replaced hall.Loved that the original church windows were kept and fitted. Remember the Church when part of the StJames Youthies, about 50years ago.Another evolution of change, since.
