St Patrick’s Basilica stands as a stunning testament to historic architecture on Reed Street in Oamaru. Visitors are captivated by its beautiful tartarian design and the intricate 3-D depictions of the Stations of the Cross, which offer a deeply spiritual experience. The basilica’s cymatic windows and timeless charm create an atmosphere that feels both sacred and welcoming. Attending mass here reveals a vibrant community enriched by an amazing pianist and thoughtful homilies that are always concise and impactful. This beloved church is not only a place of worship but also a must-see point of interest for those who appreciate architectural beauty and spiritual reflection.

2 months agoThe interior was lovely. The beams, the corridor.. they have the stations of the cross too. The place was kept warm.. Was nice to be in church for awhile. :)

3 years agoA beautiful basilica. We attended mass and the community felt very welcoming and vibrant. Amazing pianist and the parish priest kept his homily short, crisp and on point.

a year agoWhat a beautiful tartarian building. These buildings must be protected forever, the old world with the cymatics windows are truly spiritual. Does it still have the bell and lead pipe organ?
