St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church in Invercargill is a heritage landmark admired for its beautiful wooden interior and iconic gothic brick architecture. The church exudes a friendly and caring atmosphere, where a warm congregation gathers for Bible-based services enriched by traditional hymns. Visitors frequently mention the “outstanding morning tea” and community events like barbecues that foster connection beyond worship. With a rich history dating back to the 1920s and a commitment to emotional and practical care, St Stephen’s offers a deeply rooted spiritual home for those in the Waikiwi area.

7 years agoHeritage Building. St Stephens Presbyterian church is an absolute icon visually on North Road. This brick church in a gothic style complete with bell tower is simple but beautiful. The tower still contains the Bell. Original construction I believe is 1926ish and is a Landmark in the Waikiwi area.
