4 months agoVery disappointing experience – rude treatment and questionable practices I had a very unpleasant experience at this grocery store yesterday. While I was on a video call with my wife, helping her choose vegetables, a lady (who seemed to be the owner) suddenly confronted me and accused me of taking photos of their shelves. I was shocked by her tone—rude, angry, and completely uncalled for. I tried to explain the situation, but she wasn’t interested in listening. It made me feel helpless and humiliated, especially being treated like that in public for no reason. What was even more concerning was how quickly she rushed to cover up some price tags—it honestly made me wonder if she was trying to hide something, like expired or overpriced items. This kind of attitude towards customers is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend checking expiry dates and the condition of products carefully before buying anything here. Based on my experience, it feels like the owner believes she’s above the law and can treat people however she wants. No one deserves to be treated that way for simply shopping and trying to help their family

2 months agoWide variety of Indian spices and more! This store offers an excellent selection of Indian spices and other products. It’s well stocked, with an easy-to-navigate layout. It’s also the only place in New Plymouth where I’ve found guava juice — a definite bonus!

7 months agoAmazing store hidden in the corner. A must visit store for ur great Indian spices and exotic fruits and veges (a wide range available) thanks to the lady at the counter for lovely customer service, she helped me find all my needs for making my very own butter chicken.

2 years agoGreat range of food, best place for spices & the like, a bit of bitter melon/gourd if you don't mind. The staff are friendly, helpful & above all knowledgeable.
