Te Wiremu House Lifecare & Village

My mother in law has been here for a month now, everytime we visit we notice the outside table in the smoking area is filthy with coffee and tea stains, we have had to ask for it to be cleaned. Today she has been left alone outside for over two hours with no one checking on her. This happens frequently. Carers don't come to check if she wants anything when family is visiting, we have had to chase up the afternoon tea lady so she can get a coffee. Unacceptable level of care and we looking to take our concerns higher UPDATE. Thank you for addressing the issues raised. The improvements have been acknowledged.

I highly recommend to those that are seeking a caring and loving environment for their loved ones. I cannot speak highly enough about the excellent top rate care provided by the Te Wiremu house team. They are the best care providers in Gisborne! Thank you so much for taking care of our dad and making his last days comfortable. More so because we couldnt be there due to Covid travel restrictions. You helped and supported our dad and family through an extremely difficult time and we are forever grateful! God bless you all, Angels!

My grandmother was here for a few days and I believe she had her gold necklace that’s very hard to take off she’s had on for years stolen off her. also know of someone else who had jewellery go missing while in care, it seems to be a pattern. would not recommend as they steal from the Vulnerable with no sort of help. don’t recommend

Such a wonderful caring environment for the elderly. The management, staff, caregivers, nurses, maintenance staff, activity organisers go up & beyond their call of duty to provide for their residents 20 stars from me. I highly recommend this Lifecare facility. Outstanding service provider here in Gisborne.

A nice retirement home where Doreen's mother, Betty has been living now for several years.
