10 months agoAlas, my thrifting tales pursue. It was a fine autumn morning as I sauntered around the town of Hastings, bereft for an outlet to ease the curling agony that lies within my mind. The cracked, blemished sign of Threads flowed into my vision, granting my desire. My exasperated eyes lit up as they gazed upon this building, impetuously striding my timbers across the road. Forcing the frail door out of my way, my presence trickled into the congested establishment. The sight of dozens of clothing racks greeted me as I stumbled in, each of which was cramped with gorgeous fabrics. After a tiresome effort to move around, I had landed in a clearing within the masses of clothes. Somehow, it was difficult to find many items that actually piqued my interest. Although, some textiles managed to creep into my hands. I drifted towards the middle of the store to purchase such items. A sweet old lady positioned behind the counter. Slowly but surely, she carefully placed my items in a small bag made of a toddler’s shirt. After about 4 hours, my items had successfully been situated inside the small pink froggy bag. Airing out of the establishment, I felt my head imbue with euphoria, acknowledging the comforting presence of my newfound items! In its entirety, Threads is an affordable thrift store with a cordial atmosphere. Conveniently located within a deteriorating block with few pleasant stores, the store is accessible for all occasions, whether you are on a short jaunt around town, or an exasperating peregrination (within open hours of course)!
