Touch of the Tropics Garden Centre & Nursery

We’ve been working with Jules and the team at Touch of the Tropics for a long time, and it’s always such a pleasure. Jules is so knowledgeable about landscaping, and it’s great to chat with her about plants, gardens, and even life in general! She’s always there to help with anything we need, and her team is super supportive and friendly too. This year, they really stood out at the Auckland Home Show, showing how much care and love they put into their plants. Everything from their nursery looks amazing and is always top quality. It’s not just about the plants—they’re a fantastic team to deal with. Jules and her staff make everything easy and enjoyable, and we can always count on them. If you’re looking for the best plants and trees in Auckland or want a garden that looks amazing all year round, I couldn’t recommend Touch of the Tropics more. They’re the best! :)

The people here are amazing! I went in to buy a plant to leave at the cemetery, and the lady helped me choose by offering options and advice. In the end, she even gave me a pot to put the plant in and added more soil, too — all part of the service! Just amazing service!

For our new build, we wanted to have a small subtropical front yard. Consulted Jules on site, we have gone through different layouts with combination of palms/plants. Jules knowledge is hard to beat. We also got all our hedge plants from Touch of Tropics. I can easily say there are very few places where you get great pricing and experise at one place. Thanks much for the advice and plants.

I couldn't be happier with the job that Jules and team have done with my garden. They did a small job for me a couple of years ago and so when some drainage people destroyed my front garden by getting not one, but two (!) diggers stuck, I knew just who to call. I had no idea what I wanted and am a complete novice gardener so was of no use. By asking great questions she has intuitively created something breathtaking and exactly suited to us all while keeping to a strict budget. Jules, Jimmy, Mike and the team are miracle workers and I would highly recommend them for jobs big or small. Before and after photos below.

Absolutely stunning garden centre. One of Auckland's hidden gems. We visited on a rainy day, and the staff were very helpful. Everything was beautifully presented with interesting different areas, and very reasonably priced. A total staple for garden lovers in West and North Auckland, plus definitely worth the trip if you live further afield! Support kiwi owned and operated.
