Tranquility Funeral Services, located on Miranda Street in Stratford, offers funeral home services with a commitment to supporting families during difficult times. While the nature of these services calls for sensitivity and care, families seeking assistance here can expect a focused approach to honoring their loved ones. As a local establishment, it serves the community with an understanding of the importance of personalized funerals and respectful arrangements in moments of loss.

2 years agoI do not recommend this funeral home. We were not looked after in a professional manner with our loved one. All body work with our loved one that COULD be redone had to be redone because it was not done to a suitable standard to begin with. This was a traumatic experience for all involved. We chose to disengage and go to another funeral home as we did not feel comfortable sending our loved one back to Tranquility or progressing further with them. Nothing was organised in terms of a funeral service or notice in the paper. Family was left to our own vices with no guidance, no clarity and no direction.

2 years agoAfter the awful experience a dear friend and her family have endured recently I believe Tranquility Funeral Services displayed unprofessionalism, incompetence, and negligence when preparing their bereaved love one, and it is appalling that this business is able to continue trading. Tranquility Funeral Services is not affiliated with the Funeral Directors Association of NZ and NZ Embalmers Association, and for this reason I highly discourage the use of their services. Members of these associations must meet very high standards of professionalism and adhere to the FDANZ Codes of Ethics and Conduct. A minimum standard of service is expected including: holding the appropriate qualifications and skill set; keeping up with continued professional development; having appropriate and respectable facilities; and a genuine respect and care for the bereaved and their loved ones. It is clear Tranquility Funeral Services lacks all of these aspects that a competent Funeral Director should display and uphold.

2 years ago0 star review. Would not recommend Tranquility Funeral Services. Firstly super unprofessional when meeting a grieving whanau but they also stole hours of time from them after they had to go to another funeral service to have the faults of this place fixed! In no way would I want another family to have to go through what happened with this terrible “business”.

2 years ago0 stars. 1 star is an overstatement. Tranquillity funeral home has traumatised a family who I love dearly. I would not recommend sending your loved one to this funeral home. This business stole away a families right to grieve their loved one and replaced it with disgust and anger. I am so deeply devastated for my friend. I am so deeply devasted for the beautiful body this funeral home mistreated. You not only stole away the last bit of dignity their loved one had, but you stole away important grieving time.

2 years agoTo say the service and care from Tranquility Funeral Services was atrocious, is an understatement. Traumatising an already grieving whanau; taking more precious time away from their loved one so “errors” - to put it kindly - could be rectified elsewhere… Disrespectful to our loved one, and whanau who had to witness your complete lack of professionalism . Only giving one star because I can’t give any less.
