4 years agoAt the end of November 2013, I traveled to New Zealand with my friends for 18 days. It was the end of spring in the southern hemisphere. It was full of greenery, blue sky and white clouds, so beautiful. Several times I visited Tzu Chi’s liaison office in Hamilton with my friends. I walked in from the back with them. Before entering, my eyes were attracted by a big tree full of new buds, and I quickly stepped back to take a photo. There are several towering maple trees (or maples, I don’t know much about it) in front of the liaison office. The hydrangeas in front of the bamboo fence on the right side of the house are so elegant. The environment of the Tzu Chi Hamilton Liaison Office is great. In the Jing Si Hall on the right side of the Liaison Office (left side of the photo), a large glass bottle is placed on the service counter, which contains rolls of "Jing Si Aphorisms" written by Master Cheng Yen. In the center of the front of the Jing Si Hall, there is a statue of the Great Enlightenment, the Buddha, extending his right hand to protect the earth. There are words engraved on the wooden wall behind it. When people are in it, a sense of tranquility arises spontaneously. On the day of the visit on 11/26, I happened to meet Tzu Chi volunteers carefully preparing gifts. The next day they were going to care for the gifts at Hamilton Hilda Ross Nursing Home. Seeing how neatly they arranged the gifts, the distant view happened to be the glazed Buddha statue. It was so beautiful!
