2 months agoUnique cathedral in the heart of Wellington. Acoustics are wonderful, and the art and stained glass throughout is worth a visit. Try the Evensong service 4pm once a month for a taster of a style of worship that has remained similar for hundreds of years. Scriptures are sung by the choir.

3 months agoBeautiful church next to the parliament buildings, impressive facade for a church, looks unique as well. couldn't enter as the church was closed.

a year agoBuilt in the 1960s this building has an incredible weight to it. There are references to Māori culture in the architecture as well as eastern and western religions. The etched glass panels at the entrance are redolent of the Coventry Cathedral panels and the modern stained glass glass windows are beautiful modern interpretations of biblical stories. The altar tapestry is beautiful. A great place for some quiet contemplation.

2 months agoBeautiful cathedral and acoustics - bit chilly in Winter! We kept all our outer layers on. To be expected for such an ornate high ceiling.
