5 months agoTried to sell milk that was 6 days past its best before date. Been shopping here weekly for like 8 months now, and only twice has a basket been available to use, there must only be one in the store. Often they’ve run out of the particular product (ranges from fruit to meat to frozen items) that I’m after for that specific shop.

a year agoMy go to place for everything. New store looks great! Brilliant selections at both the deli and bakery which are both manned. Nice layout through the vegetable and fruit section to the meats. Having a section just for alternative foods, eg dairy free is brilliant, although it would be great to have a bit more option of brands. Always friendly and helpful staff. Edit: store already looking run down. Lots of chiller handles broken and missing. Shelves often missing products.

5 months agoCarpark areas near store are filthy. Full of litter and look like they haven’t been swept in months. Gardens throughout car parks are overgrown and full of weeds :(

5 months agoThey can't seem to open more than two checkouts. Was never like this in the past. What's with that rewards card. The app says "not available in your country" when I apply. When it first came out, I used the barcode the checker gave me, and an hour after I tried to sign up, my card was hacked multiple times. Had to get a replacement card, which is not fun. Customer service couldn't get me on the app today. It's just a piece of plastic that costs nothing and has nothing to do with rewards. If you don't have one you get to pay more. WHY punish a customer for not having a piece of plastic. They should just hand them out at the customer service desk. Good bye Woolworths I'm going back to Pack and Save.

6 months agoThe store is a great place to shop. It has a large parking lot and friendly staff. The store has recently undergone renovations, making it even more spacious. There is a wide variety of fresh produce, meat, and cheese. It was a pleasant shopping experience, and I will definitely return when we visit Gisborne again.
