3 months agoI accidentally left 4 bananas in the self check outs yesterday. Went in for cat food today and told the lady in the lotto area who was nice enough to replace my bananas. Appreciate it thank you. Nice pink outfit you had on today for pink shirt day!

2 months agoCustomer service is a joke. When enquiring about a parking breach I got down there, $85 for 10 minutes over, I was told there is no limit parking down there which isn't true. More I inquired the more the girl got her back up. I told her OK I won't come to the store from now on as the ticket I got was because they didn't have enough checkouts open and I didn't get back to my car in time. Her answer: we have enough customers, we don't need you. Really good way of keeping customers

a month agoI bought a sieve last month and it was damaged due to poor product quality. They knew I was a frequent customer but they didn’t do me any favours. I repeatedly told them it was the problem of product quality but they didn’t buy it and refused to refund/replace. I had to speak to the manager to deal with it. They pick on the weakest/easiest, even though you didn’t do anything wrong. You should know shoplifting is very common in this store, but they just watch it happen and let the offenders go, never say a word about it. When you are a good citizen and pay your fare but sometimes your items are broken/faulty, they don’t give a toss about it, trying to blame you for not using correctly. Should have sacked those non kiwi employees, arrogant, rude, always serving with attitudes. After being a loyal customer for years, it eventually turned me away. Will not come back, not recommended.

7 years agoVery convenient location but often find myself traveling to other countdowns purely because the parking is a nightmare at this store and trying to exit can take a long time and be dangerous getting onto Whatawhata Road. Veggie section not the greatest either, but there is a very good organic and gluten free area (conveniently next to the wine) that is amazing.

a month agoBeer fridge is never kept stocked up for the average punter who wants a cold beer especially on Friday and Saturday night when demand is high. Sort it out no more empty shelves or warm beer
