Woolworths Metro Herne Bay

I'm a local in Herne Bay and have been for a number of years. However, each time I've gone to this particular supermarket, I am constantly being watched. I understand security and surveillance given the crime within our society. However, when I've had staff hover over me watching everything I've scanned, it becomes a deplorable customer experience. When I confronted the lady about "profiling" and why I've never witnessed her treat other customers the same, she victimized herself. You can measure this by your own metrics but racism is prevelant in Herne Bay & Ponsonby and is something I will not tolerate. Needless to say other shoppers found my distress amusing. We won't be returning to that supermarket and will continue to shop at either Grey Lynn or Ponsonby Countdown instead!! Deplorable behavior and what a horrid customer experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone else.

Loved our time here….. such a beautiful setup, pity the only bananas they had this morning were bruised. Not one to hold a grudge though! Never seen such a wide range of single serve chilled drinks 😱 Car park floor very squeaky, however there was music playing which softened the sound of the squealing tyres. All in all, very positive experience 🫦 probably won’t come here again, but will always think back to Countdown Herne Bay with fond memories. Thanks for the awesome morning, team ♥️

It would be great if the store was open on Easter Monday. All the other stores are open, but over crowded. I prefer this store because it's low key.

Parking onsite underneath store, coffee available which I tried and was terrific, well thought out store, all the food Basics are on site, staff were ever so polite, I would go here again just for the Coffee.

Sparkling brand new store. Shoppers and the economy rejoice while the rich NIMBY’s are horrified that such vile and aghast economic activity accessible by the common people could be within their proximity. Go upstairs via the elevator for their super clean toilet!
