a month agoOverall it's pretty good, most of the staff are working really well. But there's one thing, some staff are slightly unprofessional. My sister works there and she got confronted by her supervisor in public, luckily there were no customers but I'm afraid that she might've gotten a bad reputation by other staff. Also to add in that, the situation that she was confronted by her supervisor was weeks ago and she got confronted weeks after that.

5 months agoI recently visited Woolworths on Te Rapa Road in Hamilton, NZ, and I was really impressed with how well the store was organized, particularly when it comes to the daily needs items. From the moment I walked in, I noticed how easy it was to navigate the aisles and find exactly what I needed. The store layout is well thought out, with everything from toiletries to household essentials arranged in a way that made shopping a breeze. The daily essentials section was especially well-stocked and neatly arranged. Items like cleaning products, toiletries, and personal care goods were all in one area, clearly labeled and easy to find. I was able to quickly grab items like dishwashing liquid, paper towels, and toothpaste without any hassle. The shelves were organized by brand and type, which made finding the right product quick and simple. I also appreciated the wide selection of pantry staples. The pasta, canned goods, and snacks were organized in a way that made browsing easy, and there was an ample amount of stock available, so I didn’t have to worry about items being out of stock. It was clear that the store focused on ensuring that customers could find everyday items without difficulty. Another aspect I noticed was the great availability of bottled drinks, pet food, and other household necessities. The store’s arrangement made it easy to pick up everything I needed in one go, saving me time. The checkout experience was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, my visit to Woolworths Te Rapa was excellent. The store’s organization of daily needs items made it a convenient and stress-free shopping experience. I'll definitely return for my regular grocery runs!

2 weeks agoAlways go there when I'm working in the Te Rapa/ Nawton area. Ample parking. Big store, plenty of variety, convenient self-service check outs. I live 45 kms away and support my own locally supermarkets but sometimes I need bulk products not always available in my area. Friendly, helpful staff and well signaged aisles. 💯% go back there

a month agoI went to woolworths today at Te rapa. My son was after the Disney card upon self checkout i was told by the rude checkout operator we had to spend $30 more( which i didn't saw anywhere written) or else I would have. I asked the operator can I spend another $4 to make up $30 and straight forward she told me NO. My son was really looking forward for the Disney card. I mean it's just kids cards n how much it's cost would be? definitely not millions but today woolworths lost a future shopper n WOOLWORTHS customer service always disappoints me. The operators looks at us is if we are stealing something, always in a bad mood.. forget about smiling. So unprofessional 😴

3 months agoI would have rather sent this discretely to the store but I couldn't find a option on the website to do that. I am writing to raise a concern about a situation I witnessed about three months ago at your Te Rapa, Hamilton store. While at the checkouts, I observed a male supervisor publicly pulling aside young staff members and lecturing them in front of customers and other workers. He told the staff it wasnt directed at them but he needed to address issues such as staff members sitting down while working and reusing bags. During this, he called the the workers “unprofessional.” I understand that this might not look like big issue but I personally found his behavior concerning and unprofessional. Addressing staff performance issues should be done respectfully and privately, not in a public setting where it can be embarrassing and demoralizing for the employees involved. At the time, I was so upset seeing this as they were mainly teenage girls being publicly shamed over a issue that wasnt their fault, at this I didn’t know how to speak up without also causing more attention to the situation. It has taken me some time to reach out as i was struggling to find the right words for this situation As a customer, it was uncomfortable to watch, and I feel it reflects poorly on the store’s management practices. I respectfully request that this feedback is taken seriously, and that staff are treated with the dignity and professionalism they deserve.
